Overview
This journey follows the Brahmaputra upstream: from Guwahati's riverfront and temple, to Kaziranga's grasslands, and on to Majuli, a river island with a living monastic tradition.
It ends in Jorhat, so a one-way flight out of Jorhat (rather than Guwahati) works best. Some activities, including cruises and ferry timings, depend on operators and water levels.

Practical considerations
Season
Best from November to March, when Kaziranga is open and Majuli is accessible. Water levels affect ferry timings.
Routing
Departure from Jorhat is easiest. Returning to Guwahati by road is possible but long.
Ferries
Majuli ferry schedules and timings vary. We confirm them before your trip.
Early starts
Safaris and the Majuli ferry both require early mornings.
This is a sample itinerary, not a fixed departure. Sequence, stays and activities are confirmed when we plan your journey, subject to availability, season, permits and local conditions.
