Who we are

Himalayan Luxury Tours is run by a woman entrepreneur from Darjeeling, who is also a GTA (Gorkhaland Territorial Administration) Tourism registered Heritage Guide. That local, hands-on background shapes how we plan: heritage walks, tea country, hill culture and the small details that a visitor might otherwise miss.

Based in the hills

Our base in Darjeeling puts us close to the places we plan around: the tea estates, hill towns, forests and mountain roads of the Eastern Himalayas. That closeness matters. It means practical knowledge of seasons, road conditions and local rhythms, and trusted people to call when plans need to change.

Personalised, not packaged

We do not sell one-size-fits-all packages. Each journey begins with a conversation about your interests, your pace and how you like to travel, then takes shape as a plan you can adjust until it feels right.

Selected stays, meaningful experiences

We choose accommodation for character, setting and fit, from boutique mountain properties and family-run homestays to scenic retreats and wilderness lodges. Experiences are chosen with the same care: heritage walks, tea and food, wildlife, culture and quiet time.

Value is not the lowest price. It is spending where it improves the journey, being honest about what is worth paying for, and planning well enough that you do not pay for avoidable problems.
