This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on www.HimalayanLuxuryTours.com, and how you can control them. A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser.

Your choice

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept optional cookies. Choosing "Essential only" means no optional cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer. If you withdraw consent, we remove the optional cookies we can access, and you can also clear cookies in your browser settings.

Essential cookies (always on)

These are needed for the site to work and are not used for tracking.

  • Enquiry confirmation cookie (hltpub). Set when you send an enquiry, so the thank-you page can show you what you submitted. It lasts only until you close your browser.
  • Your cookie choice. Your banner choice is remembered in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie.
  • Staff login cookie. Used only by our team in the admin area. Visitors never receive it.
  • Source cookie (hlt_src). Records, for up to 30 days, how you arrived (for example a campaign tag or the website that referred you), so we can attach it to an enquiry and see which pages are useful.
  • Analytics cookies (for example _ga and _ga_*). If analytics is switched on for this website, Google Analytics may set these cookies to count visits and understand which pages are used. IP anonymisation is enabled. They are set only after you accept all cookies, and they can last up to about two years.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data and we do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. Embedded social media or video widgets are not used on this site. The Instagram slider, when enabled, loads pictures that our own server has saved, so your browser does not contact Instagram to view them.

If you follow links to WhatsApp, Instagram or other sites, those sites have their own cookie rules.
