Arunachal: Culture, Valleys and Remote Landscapes: 9 Nights / 10 Days

An extended western Arunachal journey with two nights in Dirang, four in Tawang and optional remote valleys.

Overview

This longer journey slows the circuit down. Two nights in Dirang give time for the valley's villages and hot springs, and four nights in Tawang allow for monasteries, lakes and, where permissions and weather allow, a day in the remote Zemithang Valley.

It is not a Ziro or eastern Arunachal itinerary. Those regions are far from Tawang by road, and we would plan them as a separate journey.

Duration
9 Nights / 10 Days
Route
Guwahati > Bhalukpong > Dirang > Tawang > Bomdila > Tezpur > Guwahati
Suits
Travellers who want depth over speed, enjoy slower mountain travel and accept flexibility in a remote region.
Stay style
Mid-range hotels and well-run guesthouses, selected for warmth, views and local character. Standards are modest in remote areas; we prioritise comfort and cleanliness over frills.
