Overview
This is the fullest of our Andaman itineraries, linking the three islands most visitors want to see: Port Blair, Havelock and Neil. Neil is flatter, smaller and quieter than Havelock, which makes a calm counterpoint.
It involves three ferry transfers, so it suits travellers who accept some schedule risk. If you prefer fewer moves, see our relaxed itinerary.
- Duration
- 6 Nights / 7 Days
- Route
- Port Blair > Havelock > Neil (Shaheed Dweep) > Port Blair
- Suits
- Active couples and families with older children who are comfortable with several ferry transfers.
- Stay style
- A resort on Havelock, a small eco-style or beach stay on Neil, and simple hotels in Port Blair at either end.

Day 1Arrive Port Blair
Arrive and settle in. Visit the Cellular Jail National Memorial and, subject to schedule, the evening light and sound show.
Day 2Ferry to Havelock
Morning ferry to Havelock. Afternoon at Radhanagar Beach for sunset.
Day 3Elephant Beach and Havelock
Subject to tides and conditions, take a boat or forest trail to Elephant Beach for snorkelling and water activities. Time to relax in the afternoon.
Day 4Ferry to Neil
A short ferry (around an hour) to Neil. Check in, then spend the afternoon at Bharatpur Beach, where the shallow water suits swimming.
Day 5Neil at leisure
Explore the island by cycle or scooter. Visit the Natural Rock Bridge at a suitable tide and watch the sunset at Laxmanpur Beach.
Day 6Back to Port Blair
Ferry from Neil to Port Blair (around 1.5 to 2 hours). Visit Ross Island if timings allow, or Chidiya Tapu for a quiet sunset and birdwatching.
Day 7Departure
Transfer to the airport. We plan an afternoon or evening flight for buffer.
Main experiences
- Radhanagar Beach sunset
- Elephant Beach snorkelling, subject to conditions
- Bharatpur Beach and Laxmanpur Beach on Neil
- Natural Rock Bridge, tide permitting
- Cellular Jail memorial and Ross Island ruins, subject to access
- Optional Baratang caves day trip (needs an extra day)
Practical considerations
Ferries and weather
Inter-island ferries run to schedules that can change with sea conditions. We keep buffer time before any onward flight.
Water activities
Snorkelling, diving and boat trips depend on tides, visibility and operator availability, and are not guaranteed.
Site rules
Timings, entry rules and closures at places such as Ross Island and the Cellular Jail light and sound show vary, so we confirm them before travel.
Optional Baratang
The limestone caves are a long day trip by road and boat through a tribal reserve with strict rules. We recommend adding a separate day rather than squeezing it in.
This is a sample itinerary, not a fixed departure. Sequence, stays and activities are confirmed when we plan your journey, subject to availability, season, permits and local conditions.
