Offbeat North Bengal Escape: 5 Nights / 6 Days

The Dooars forests, forest villages around Lava and a final night in Kalimpong, linking plains, rivers and hills.

Overview

This journey contrasts two landscapes: the forested Dooars at the foot of the Himalayas, and the hills around Lava and Kalimpong. It starts in the plains with a safari, then climbs gradually into cooler country.

The drive between the Dooars and Lava is long and winding, so we treat it as a travel day. We confirm road conditions and the route before you go.
