Overview
The Dooars is the lowland forest and tea belt at the foot of the Himalayas in North Bengal. It suits a weekend break: green tea gardens, riverbeds, birdlife and an easy pace within a few hours of Siliguri.
Safari and park access follow forest department rules and seasons, and sightings are never guaranteed. Combine it with the hills in the Offbeat North Bengal itinerary.
