Overview
This itinerary introduces Bhutan through two valleys, Paro and Thimphu, with a day for the famous Taktsang monastery walk. It is the most compact way to experience the country's architecture, monasteries and mountain setting.
You can fly into Paro or enter by road at Phuentsholing from Siliguri, though the road route adds most of a day at each end. Entry formalities depend on your nationality; we guide you through them when you enquire. A Punakha day trip can be considered if time and daylight allow, but it makes for a long day.
