Overview
This itinerary balances the Kathmandu Valley's temples and old towns with the more relaxed setting of Pokhara. It suits travellers who want culture first, then lakeside time and mountain views.
The Kathmandu to Pokhara leg can be flown, usually around half an hour, or driven, which takes roughly six to eight hours. We confirm the best option closer to departure, since flights depend on weather and schedules. If you prefer ridge-top views to a lake, Nagarkot can replace Pokhara for a shorter version.

Practical considerations
Flights or road
Kathmandu-Pokhara flights are short but weather-dependent; the road takes much of a day. We choose based on dates and comfort.
Mountain views
Visibility varies by season and day. Mornings in the cooler months offer the best chance.
Altitude
Altitude is not a concern on this itinerary.
Return leg
Allow ample buffer if you have an international connection on the day you return from Pokhara.
This is a sample itinerary, not a fixed departure. Sequence, stays and activities are confirmed when we plan your journey, subject to availability, season, permits and local conditions.
