Kashmir Short Escape: 4 Nights / 5 Days
A compact Kashmir trip: a houseboat night on Dal Lake, a day in Pahalgam, a night in Gulmarg and Srinagar's gardens.
Suits: First-time visitors and short breaks.
Kashmir · 6 Nights / 7 Days
Houseboat, Pahalgam, Gulmarg and a full day in Sonamarg, with the Mughal gardens on the road from Srinagar.
This plan adds Sonamarg, the meadow beside the Sindh valley, in place of a second Srinagar sightseeing day. The Mughal gardens are visited on the way out of Srinagar, so the first full day is already scenic.
Sonamarg depends on road and weather conditions, and local union taxis are needed for sightseeing at several places. See the classic itinerary for a gentler alternative.

A full day around Betaab Valley, Aru Valley and Chandanwari, subject to conditions. Optional pony rides and nature walks depend on availability and local rules. Local union taxis are charged separately.
Drive to Gulmarg, a hill resort known for snow in winter and meadows in summer. Check in and spend the day at leisure. Optional: the Gondola, pony rides, or snow activities in winter.
Drive down to Srinagar and check in. The rest of the day is free for the local market and the lake area.
A full-day trip through the Sindh valley to Sonamarg, the 'Meadow of Gold'. Walk, enjoy the mountain views and, subject to weather, road conditions and local rules, take optional excursions. Return to Srinagar in the evening.
After breakfast, spend any spare time shopping or sightseeing, then transfer to Srinagar airport for your onward journey.
