Kashmir Short Escape: 4 Nights / 5 Days
A compact Kashmir trip: a houseboat night on Dal Lake, a day in Pahalgam, a night in Gulmarg and Srinagar's gardens.
Suits: First-time visitors and short breaks.
Kashmir · 6 Nights / 7 Days
Srinagar, Pahalgam and Gulmarg in a relaxed week: a houseboat on Dal Lake, river valleys, alpine meadows and the Mughal gardens.
The classic Kashmir circuit, paced for a group, a family or a small party. You begin with a night on a houseboat, spend two nights in Pahalgam, one in Gulmarg and return to Srinagar for gardens and old-city sights.
Sightseeing in Pahalgam, Gulmarg and Sonamarg usually relies on local union taxis, which operate under local rules and weather. We plan with that in mind. For a version with a Sonamarg day, see the Kashmir with Sonamarg itinerary.

Arrive at Srinagar airport, where our representative meets you, and transfer to the Dal Lake boarding point. Check in to a deluxe houseboat and rest. In the afternoon, take a Shikara ride on the lake, if included in your confirmed plan, and walk to a nearby market. Dinner on the houseboat.
After breakfast, drive towards Pahalgam through villages, orchards and, depending on season, the saffron fields around Pampore. Pahalgam sits among pine forests above the Lidder River. Check in, then take an evening walk or visit the market.
Visit Betaab Valley, Aru Valley and, subject to road and weather conditions and local access rules, Chandanwari. These excursions usually need local union taxis, charged separately. Return to the main market and the hotel for dinner.
Drive to Gulmarg, famous for its meadows, pine forests and wide views. Check in, subject to hotel timing, and walk the meadow. The Gulmarg Gondola is optional and depends on tickets, operating conditions and charges. In winter, snow vehicles may be needed and are not included unless confirmed.
Drive down to Srinagar. Visit the Mughal gardens, such as Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh and, if time allows and it is open, Chashme Shahi. Browse for handicrafts, pashmina, dry fruits and souvenirs.
Visit the Shankaracharya Temple, subject to security restrictions and visiting hours, drive along Boulevard Road for lake views, and see the Hazratbal area, subject to local access. Leisure time for photography and shopping.
After breakfast and check-out, transfer to Srinagar airport as per your flight time. Early flights may need an adjusted breakfast arrangement.
Accommodation as per the plan, breakfast and dinner as stated, transfers and sightseeing by private vehicle as per the itinerary, and airport pickup and drop. Final inclusions are confirmed in writing before booking.
Air and train tickets, lunches and drinks, entry tickets, Shikara rides, Gondola tickets, local union taxi charges at Pahalgam, Gulmarg and Sonamarg, pony rides and optional activities, snow transfers in winter, personal expenses, and extra costs from road closures or weather. Charges for local union services are paid as applicable and confirmed at booking.
The plan may change for weather, road conditions, traffic, security restrictions or local rules. Hotel and houseboat check-in and check-out follow each property's policy. Carry valid photo ID for check-in. Check current travel advisories before you travel.
Breakfast and dinner daily. Lunch is not included.
This is a sample itinerary, not a fixed departure. Sequence, stays and activities are confirmed when we plan your journey, subject to availability, season, permits and local conditions.
